Vista is slower compared to Win 7.
Vista crashes too much compared Win7.
Win7 is faster with booting and data transferring.
Win7 has more things to use compared to Vista

if you really think that activation is not working use command for 120 days not 30 days

anyway, more activations tools will come soon. you have the time to use it untill then. won't expire.
